CMA Forum Opportunities

Meetings are moderated by the President of the CMA and revolve around topics developed collaboratively by the members. To maintain variety and inclusivity, the location of CMO and Agency Forum meetings rotate among different members’ premises. Because of the size of the Mx Forum, meeting locations are determined by the CMA. A key aspect of these meetings is confidentiality, upheld by agreements signed by all participants, facilitators, and note-takers.

CMO Forum

About

Participants in this exclusive group are senior marketers who play a pivotal role in their company’s marketing decisions and directly influence corporate or creative strategy.

For:  CMO or top marketing executives that meet criteria

From:  January to December annually (price is pro-rated for those that start later in the year)

Frequency:  Meetings are held once per quarter

Day & Times:  Fridays, 12:00 pm to 4:30 pm

There are also opportunities for other social events organized by the group

Fee:

$4500 per year.  Price includes Corporate Membership

Criteria:

The criteria for membership are stringent to ensure a high level of expertise and experience.

  • Members are required to have a minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience managing substantial external budgets (over $5 million)
  • Min. 10 years in managing and developing a marketing team
  • Min. 15 years in a marketing role.
  • To maintain focus and avoid conflicts of interest, agency or supplier representatives and direct competitors are not permitted, unless an existing competitive CMO in the group accepts them.

Agency Forum

About

Agencies recognize that working collectively offers multifaceted benefits, from attracting and nurturing exceptional talent for industry growth to elevating Calgary’s agency community on national and global stages.

For:  Agency Owners, or Calgary Partners of creative agencies

From:  January to December annually (price is pro-rated for those that start later in the year)

Frequency:  Meetings are held once per quarter

Day & Times:  Wednesdays, 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm

There are also opportunities for other social events organized by the group

Fee:

$1250 per year.

Criteria:

The criteria for membership are stringent to ensure a high level of expertise and experience.

  • You or your company hold a valid membership with the Calgary Marketing Association for the duration of the program.
  • 10+ employees
  • Must be an owner/shareholder/key decision maker in Calgary
  • Must have been in business more than 5 years
  • Can’t be a supplier to agencies

Mx Forum

About

The Mx Forum Experience combines quarterly live collaboration events and a 24/7 exclusive LinkedIn group, creating a dynamic platform for professional growth, innovation, and unparalleled networking opportunities.

For:  Directors, and VP’s of Marketing

From:  One year after forum purchase.

Frequency:  Meetings are held once per quarter

Day & Times:  Wednesdays, 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm

There are also opportunities for other social events organized by the group

Fee:

$1000 per year.

Criteria:

The criteria for membership are stringent to ensure a high level of expertise and experience.

  • You or your company hold a valid membership with the Calgary Marketing Association for the duration of the program.
  • You hold the title of Chief, Director, or Vice President of Marketing or an equivalent role.
  • You stand at the highest or second-highest tier of marketing executive leadership within your organization.
  • You oversee a team of at least 5 marketers.
  • You steward a marketing budget of $250,000 or more.
