The Calgary Marketing Association is Celebrating All Kinds of It!
It was Thursday, March 14 and marketers from around the City were gathering in one place for a few reasons… It was the Calgary Marketing Association (CMA) Members Only Reception, followed by an AGM, with a reveal of the new board. And if that’s not enough – the New Brand was on display!
As is now customary at CMA events, the room was filled with marketers at all stages in their career, starting with students including our two (Eric Lowe and Mackenzie Grygus) winners of the CMA Make It In Marketing Challenge. There were also recent graduates, management, SVPs and CMOs along with agency owners and staff and other suppliers.
One highlight of the evening was the story behind and reveal of the new brand, as explained by board member, Rob Fairhead of ZGM. He and his team spearheaded this initiative with the signature benefit of another board member Vanessa Barretto.
A second high point was the big reveal of the new 2019/2020 Board of Directors.
Even for marketers that’s a lot to take in – and so was the Venue.
The Bourbon Room, a speakeasy style venue tucked in the corner of the National on 10th, provided an exclusive atmosphere with a touch of provocative and a couple of top-shelf mixologists.
