The Gathering Gives Back

1:1 matching initiative sends our future leaders (students) to The Gathering this year #GatheringGivesBack

Streaming from stages in Alberta, California, and other locations across North America, for the first time ever, The Gathering will expand to a global audience sharing insights from business leaders of the world’s most coveted brands. And, in a year when marketing budgets are already tight due to the pandemic, The Gathering is giving the gift of inspiration, by providing Alberta students with easy access to this exclusive event, ranked by Forbes as one of North America’s top business and marketing conferences.

“This is not another Zoom call. Our speakers will be streaming from many stages; think TED-style content,” says Stephanie Thompson, The Gathering’s General Manager. “We’ve worked really hard to keep The Gathering intimate, yet bring the same level of excitement that attendees have come to expect. It’s been a trying year for many, but now more than ever we need to hear inspiring stories from brands that we admire and those who continually elevate the craft of marketing to connect with audiences in remarkable ways.”

TOP 3 REASONS YOU CANNOT MISS THIS YEAR:

1. Inspiration from some of the world’s bravest brands

2. Exclusive access to Q&As with brand leaders

3. Personal & Professional Growth Opportunities

    • 1:1 Professional LinkedIn Profile Training – save your spot!

In addition to the three-day Summit, virtual pass holders receive access to year-round content such as monthly discussions with brand leaders, content-specific workshops, and opportunities to connect with others and build meaningful relationships. “The Gathering is rooted in Community and Connection. We know if we can provide an inspiring space to learn and connect, this will create an incredibly positive impact on others,” says Thompson.

In its eighth year, The Gathering 2021 also features a record amount of female and diverse voices.

“We’re celebrating more women in leadership positions and we’re thrilled they’ll be taking our stage –  Bozoma Saint John from Netflix, Amy Huft from Shopify, Lisa McKnight from Barbie, and Dara Tresder from Peloton – all of these women have amazing career highlights and business insights we can learn from,” says Thompson. “These are also companies that have seen record business results during the pandemic.”

The Gathering is the culmination of a year-long evaluation process of more than 800 beloved brands to determine which ones best adhere to the “Cult Brand” principles. One of the 10 honorees will receive the Pinnacle Award; a People’s Choice selection voted by attendees.
