You will use your expertise to:
Evolve and enhance the Petro-Points strategic vision, driving continuous improvement and growth of the Loyalty Program to become the most relevant, innovative, and beloved loyalty program in Canada
Raise loyalty to the brand level, above and inclusive of the program, to carve out a new vision and path forward with the ultimate goal of deepening emotional connections with our members
Craft a vision that builds trust and fosters genuine member relationships through 1:1 personalization and meaningful value exchange
Work with leaders across the Petro-Canada organization to develop cross-functional strategies that create demonstrated value and engage members across all program touchpoints in a positive brand experience
Work within a highly-matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders to build consensus and communicate our loyalty evolution across the enterprise, including change management, narrative, and organizational structure adjustments.
Develop and manage a portfolio of P&Ls (Profit and Loss) and budgets, internal team, and network of suppliers to execute Petro-Points strategy
Closely monitor program performance against strategic goals
Build the strategic direction for the acquisition, management and cultivation of current and future Strategic Partnerships creating a win-win environment, solving critical business challenges and leaning into creative business opportunities.
Lead a high performing team through change, developing strategy and execution on the loyalty future vision in a cross functional highly collaborative environment
Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team members to develop their competencies, contribute to their life-long learning, and position them for success
Work with Marketing Communications to develop comprehensive communications plans that drive loyalty program business objectives
Work with Customer Insights and data teams to identify customer voice research, and gather insights to determine new approaches and optimal enhancements
Monitor competitive activity and loyalty industry trends ensuring that program strategies remain relevant, best-in-class and impactful
We’d like to review your application if you have…
Must-haves (minimum requirements):
10 years of demonstrated experience in loyalty marketing leadership on either the client or agency side, working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team
Expertise in leading and developing high performing teams
Experience developing partnerships, leading strategic initiatives and structuring and negotiating complex agreements across large organizations.
Demonstrated ability to create strategic vision and translate that vision into actionable, well understood activities providing clear direction for cross-functional teams
Proven financial and business acumen with previous experience of large P&L Oversight & Accountability
Alignment with our values: safety above all else, stronger together, operational discipline, curiosity and lifelong learning, and act with integrity
University degree in business or related discipline, MBA an asset
Experience within a global company and/or top consumer brand
Experience with retail marketing with understanding of collaboration with site operators and how profits are achieved
Strong negotiator with a partnership-centric approach; ability to represent Petro-Points and structure terms to achieve strong long-term partner alignment
Leadership of cross-functional teams & projects
Experience with large-scale change management
Agile and open to changing directions, adopting new practices or learning something new
A genuine fascination around human behaviour and a driven desire to iterate and learn through the member experience
Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other important information:
You will work primarily out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W., with some flexibility to work from home occasionally based on future guidelines
Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
