Reporting to the Director, Marketing and Communications, the Marketing Manager, Programs will collaborate on the development and lead the implementation of key marketing strategies and programs aimed at driving participation in Energy Efficiency Alberta’s programs.

Collaborate with Marketing, Communications, Stakeholder Engagement and Program Design & Delivery teams to build high-impact, 360-degree marketing campaigns and ensure information is proactively collected, shared, analyzed and incorporated into plans for continuous improvement (includes mass media, in-store marketing and merchandising campaigns, external sales marketing efforts, guerrilla marketing, key account and industry training, online and social media campaigns, and customer event management)

Develop, manage and execute brand and promotional plans for assigned area within established timelines and budgets

Contribute to the annual marketing and budget planning process; manage assigned plans and budgets including ongoing reporting and forecasting

Lead the development, roll out and measurement of marketing initiatives, in conjunction with Program Design & Delivery team

Initiate the planning process for key marketing initiatives and develop and gain approval for promotional briefs

Identify and provide insight on new marketing opportunities

Oversee the development and production of marketing materials

Liaise with creative services agencies to ensure timely co-ordination and execution of deliverables

Ensure that all brand communication elements are consistent and accurate, and are reflective of the current brand strategy, plan and communication objectives

Develop key measurement tools and processes to assess the impact of brand and promotional marketing campaigns and provide regularly scheduled updates to key stakeholders, both within and outside the agency


Minimum five years of marketing experience, including both B2C and B2B, with a focus on strategy, planning and implementing integrated marketing plans

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communication or Business

Track record of creating diverse, unique, outside-the-box marketing strategies that deliver measurable results

Self-starter who can run with projects independently but also thrive and contribute as part of a team

Ability to quickly develop and maintain strategic working relationships with both internal team members and external stakeholders and service providers

Ability to champion ideas, build consensus and listen to others

Creative and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and/or tasks concurrently

Superior attention to detail and quality

Deep understanding of branding and how to define and present brand values in tangible ways

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including writing, editing and proofreading skills, with proven ability to produce relevant, compelling content for multiple platforms

Fluency in the Microsoft Office suite of programs, specifically Word, Excel, and Power Point; knowledge of print production and design software considered an asset

Experience managing budgets, relationships with creative services and negotiating with vendors
Ability to continuously learn and apply new skills and knowledge


This role will be required to travel.
