JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In fulfilling the role of Strategic Lead, you will play a critical role in servicing our clients and protecting the integrity of the strategies created. You will lead the development of and oversee marketing communications strategies. You will differentiate our clients by your strategic acumen, and your drive to think proactively, delivering results that exceed expectations. This role is supported by a FT Project Manager.
Summary description of role:
Strategy Lead for Anstice real estate developer client. General account management including oversight, meetings, briefings, drafting, reviewing and approving deliverables. Client management, meetings, on-going relationship building. Strategy leadership – developing and/or delegating/defining and integrating key talent to build marketing strategies, naming and brand strategies, campaign strategy and direction.
Internal Anstice team leadership of project team including Senior Manager, Strategy & Insights and Junior Project Manager.
Anstice internal support – meetings, internal needs, template/process development work.
Lead the long-term client strategy and oversees the “big picture”
Provide client with ongoing strategic recommendations and manages expectations as needed. Determine client deadlines and communicates these to project manager. Inform client of any issues/solutions in meeting deadlines. Responsible for providing the client with project updates as determined by the client communication plan.
Accountable for quality checking external facing client documents
Accountable for holding and leading regular client meetings
Accountable for communicating and forecasting issues to the client and to Anstice senior leadership
Oversight of budget and client profitability
Management of Client Relationships:
Maintain a solid understanding of client’s marketing, communications and business objectives
Manage client relationships and retention by identifying areas of dissatisfaction, resolving issues, communicating regularly with clients and coordinating delivery of enhanced services
Ensure client schedules and budgets are met and communicate regularly with client regarding project status
Partner with Strategic Leads in identifying client strategies, developing alternatives for optimizing their strategies, and develop solid execution plans to exceed customer expectations
Create/Present client facing documentation (budgets, strategies/plans, status reports)
Attend client events (media functions, video/photo shoots, client appreciation events), maintaining strong professional representation of Anstice. Some travel required
Identify ways to offer additional agency services to clients and upsell
Manage Strategy, Programs and Implementation:
Regular reporting and communication to Senior Leadership Team regarding workflow and project updates
Provide mentoring and leadership to less experienced team members
Full project life cycle ownership, including full implementation from initiation to deployment for one or more initiatives simultaneously
Work creatively in an agile environment, demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence
Create/Present internal documentation (estimates, budgets, strategies/plans, status reports)
Identify and manage contractors and ensure high-quality of work is delivered
Co-ordinate regular touchpoints between clients, contractors and staff to ensure deliverables and timelines are met
Review the quality of work provided by support team to ensure standards are being met prior to client delivery
Communicate deliverables and assign tasks to project resources
Experience and Education:
Minimum 5 years account management or strategic leadership experience in an Agency/PR environment or similar environment
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
Excellent written and verbal strategic communication skills
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Experience in translating research into storytelling
Experience with brand development and management
Experience in channel and tactical planning
